![]() ![]() That is not true because a faster GPU will allow you to play at higher resolutions like 4k and with higher details. There really isn't a GPU high enough you could buy even if some say that you will end up CPU/RAM bound. In a course of 5-7 years you will probably keep this card before the next upgrade, given that you use your PC a lot for gaming, the savings will be more than $500 compared to if you went with a vega64 or 56 for example. The performance per watt you get from this card will save you a lot in the long term electricity cost. The rtx 2070 is not only fast, but also extremely power efficient. And the best GPU for your budget is the rtx 2070 if you game with your system. So the only real good upgrade for you, would be to upgrade your GPU. Otherwise, even for those cases, the 3570k is a formidable CPU still. There are special use cases for professional workstation work or working with blender a lot for example, where one of the top CPUs would make sense, if that is how you make your money with. And even if Games were CPU bound, a properly overclocked 3570k is only a few percentages slower in games than even the latest top CPUs. ![]() Especially games like fortnite are heavily GPU bound and would not benefit of a slightly faster CPU whatsoever. ![]() Your CPU is highly overclockable and as far as gaming goes, performs almost equal to the newest CPUs out there, especially at 1440p or higher resolutions where most games become GPU bound. In fact, adding more RAM will probably make your system slower, as the additional RAM won't be part of the same kit, which will in some cases cause instabilities unless you lower the timings manually or if the motherboard is "smart" enough, it will pick the lowest denominator automatically. 99% of games do not benefit of more than 8GB. Adding more RAM will not provide you with any benefits at all unless you have a specific use case which requires more RAM, like working on 4k videos etc. ![]()
